Tobacco Treatment Specialist Program

The Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) Training and Certification  Program is designed for individuals who are interested in giving moderate to intensive tobacco treatment services. 
It is an evidence-based training program with a  curriculum designed to address core competencies defined by UMASS and accreted by the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD).

• Intake, Assessment, and Treatment Planning​
• Biological, Psychological and Social Factors​
• Guidelines for Systems and Professionals​
• Introduction to Motivational Interviewing​
• Pharmacotherapy for the Treatment of Nicotine Dependence​
• Cognitive and Behavioral Treatment Strategies​

To become a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, you will need to do the following:​

• Register for the TTS Program through www.01breath.co/tobacco ​and  www.imcacademy.net/signup​
• Complete the payment to book a seat​
• You will receive an activation link from UMass via Blackboard​
• Attend the online “Basic Skills for Working with Smokers”​​
• Attend the onsite TTS Program 4 day’s core training at IMC
