As the “WaMahyay” book series went into print and was published, it garnered huge demand, especially considering the popularity gained by the “WaMahyay” program since it first aired on MBC and several other channels in July 2013.
As the second season of “WaMahyay” program went into air in June-July 2014 with greater content, wider scientific material, and longer episodes, publishers and distributors started pre-ordering “WaMahyay2” book which became under-development as soon as the program was concluded, thanks to the success of the first book. Publishers started extending invitations for book signings in book fairs in both Jeddah and Riyadh. The main distributor of WaMahyay books, Virgin Megastores, invited Dr. Walid Fitaihi to hold special book signings in their stores to give his readers an opportunity to meet him.
Book signings started with the publication of “WaMahyay2”, with the first signing being held in Virgin Megastore - Red Sea Mall in Jeddah in July 2015, and the second signing in December 2015 at Jeddah International Book Fair.
Three book signings were held for “WaMahyay3 - Al Ana” which was issued following the airing of “WaMahyay3 - Al Ana” program in June 2015:
- Book signing of Riyadh International Book Fair in March 2016.
- Book signing of Virgin Megastore - Al Nakheel Mall, Riyadh in May 2016.
- Book signing of Virgin Megastore - Red Sea Mall, Jeddah in June 2016.
WaMahyay issues were best sellers in a number of book fairs, according to publishers and local newspapers.
Book signings with Dr. Walid Fitaihi started at the Riyadh International Book Fair in 2013 for both parts of his book, “Afaq Men Alhayat”.
