The International Medical Center (IMC) held its annual welcoming ceremony for resident physicians, whereas numbers of medical resident trainees were honored, in addition to honoring the best medical consultant trainers. The celebration also included a video presentation of the 2018 medical residents' graduation.
"IMC is committed to caring for medical graduates and strives for excellence in the field of training programs to guarantee the highest level of qualification for the new graduate doctors," said Dr. Nawal Abu Al-Khudoud, Director of Alumni Affairs, in her speech.
Dr. Alaa Nazzal, Internal Medicine Resident at the IMC, also delivered a speech in which he addressed the outputs and standards of training and the importance of psychological aptitude before the training to avoid indicators and causes of job burnout. He then and thanked the IMC's leadership for putting resident doctors at the top of its priorities and invest in doctors as the most significant part of the healthcare equation.
Dr. Walid Fitaihi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at IMC, shed light on the role of doctors and their significant contribution to society and discussed the concept of the wise doctor. He pointed out to the extent of responsibility held by doctors, recognizing that health care is no longer the traditional treatment that is confined to medications or surgery but goes beyond that to include the whole lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, and mindset.
By the end of the ceremony, Dr. Fitaihi honored the top ten best residents, and they are Dr. Ahmed Mai, Dr. Muhannad Bayazid, Dr. Enji Alshahat, Dr. Lubna Alnori, Dr. Hassan Ballat, Dr. Hanaa Ali, Dr. Hanaa Wubayr, Dr. Essam Felemban, Dr. Musab Alghamdi, Dr. Mohammed Alsayed. He also honored the top eight consultant trainers, and they are Dr. Abdulghafoor Gari, Dr. Nashaat Hamza, Dr. Raheel Shariff, Dr. Tahir Yunus, Dr. Fahad Algreisi, Dr. Mohammed Daghistani, Dr. Hamad Almaiman, and Dr. Alsaid L. Amin
